Fees for individual sellers
Everything you may pay to nixomarket as a private person selling your own things, in one place. Prices updated 31/10/2026.
What you pay, and when
There are only two moments when nixomarket can charge you, and both are your choice:
When you list
A monthly plan if you want more than the Free plan, an extra listing when your plan is full, and optional upgrades that make an ad easier to find. Nothing is charged automatically for posting within your plan.
When you sell
Only if the buyer pays with Buy now: a small commission on the item price, taken by Stripe. Sales paid directly to you (cash, bank transfer, PayPal or your own card link) cost nothing.
Browsing, saving ads, sending messages and buying are always free of charge. Before you sell items, our team checks your ID and address once; the check costs nothing and the documents are deleted afterwards.
Plans compared
Every plan is open to individuals and businesses alike. A paid plan runs for the months you pay for (1, 6 or 12) and renews only if you turn on automatic renewal. See the Plan terms.

Cancelling a subscription
When you pay for a plan by card or PayPal you can choose a subscription, which renews by itself. You can cancel it at any time with the Cancel subscription button in My account → My plan. From that moment nothing more is charged:
- Monthly plan: it stays active until the end of the month you paid for, then ends.
- 6-month or 1-year plan: it stays active for the whole period you paid for and is not renewed afterwards.
- Cancelling does not refund the time already paid: you keep using the plan until its end date. This is separate from your legal 14-day right as a consumer, explained in the Refund Policy.
A plan paid without a subscription simply ends after the period you paid; we remind you a few days before. When a plan ends, your account moves to the Free plan and your ads stay online until they end.
Extra listings
When all the live ads of your plan are in use, you do not have to change plan: you can pay £0.50 / €0.60 for one extra listing and post one more ad. It stays live for as long as that ad is online (100 days, then renewable). When the ad ends, is sold or is deleted, the extra place ends with it. Paid extra listings you have not used yet stay on your account.
Prices are in pounds for UK accounts and in euros for the rest of Europe.
Optional upgrades for an ad
Upgrades help a live ad get seen. They are optional, work on any plan and are paid by card through Stripe. Paid plans include some every calendar month (see the table above); included ones that are not used do not carry over to the next month.

Featured ads carry a “Featured” label, so buyers can always see which ads are promoted. An upgrade does not skip our checks, and if an ad breaks our Terms and is removed, its upgrade is not refunded. Buying a Featured or Highlight that is still running adds the new days to the end.
Buy now commission
Sellers who connect their own Stripe account can let buyers pay by card on the ad with Buy now. The money goes to the seller's Stripe account; our commission is a percentage of the item price only, never of the delivery cost, and Stripe takes it automatically from the payment. The percentage depends on your plan: Free 5%, Silver 4%, Gold 3%, Premium 2%, Platinum 1%.
Stripe also charges its own card processing fee to the seller, under the seller's agreement with Stripe; that fee is not ours. If you refund a buyer, our commission is returned in proportion to the refund.
Payments straight to you
nixomarket takes no commission on sales the buyer pays to you directly. Agree the price and the delivery in a message first, and read our Safety tips.
Refunds and disputes
We do not charge any dispute fee. With Buy now you are the merchant: refunds, returns and card disputes (chargebacks) are handled in your own Stripe account, and Stripe may charge its own dispute fee there. For payments made straight to you, you and the buyer agree any refund between yourselves.

Currencies and countries
nixomarket works in pounds (GBP) and euros (EUR), for sellers and buyers in the United Kingdom and Europe only. UK accounts pay us in pounds; accounts elsewhere in Europe pay in euros. We do not add any currency conversion charge. If your card is in another currency, your bank or card issuer may convert it at its own rate; with Buy now, Stripe converts payouts under your Stripe settings.
Examples with numbers
A Buy now sale
You are on the Free plan and sell an item for £50 plus £4 delivery. The buyer pays £54. Our commission is 5% of £50 = £2.50 (nothing on the delivery). Stripe also takes its own card fee. The rest goes to your Stripe account.
A sale paid to you directly
A buyer collects your item and pays you £50 in cash or by bank transfer. You pay us nothing.
One ad over the limit
On the Free plan you have 50 live ads and want to post one more. Pay £0.50 (or €0.60) once for an extra listing, or move to a bigger plan. When one of your ads ends, you have room again without paying.
Featured twice
You buy Featured for 7 days (£2). Two days later you buy it again: the new 7 days are added to the end of the first ones, not on top of them, so the ad is Featured for 14 days in all. You never lose days you paid for.
Cancelling a monthly plan
You pay £3 for Silver on 1 March with a subscription, and cancel on 10 March. Nothing more is charged. Silver stays active until 1 April, then your account moves to Free. The rest of March is not refunded, because you keep using it.
Questions and answers
Do I pay anything to post an ad?
No, as long as you are within the live ads of your plan (50 on the Free plan). Only the extras you choose cost money.
Is there a fee if my item does not sell?
No. We never charge because an item did not sell. Optional upgrades you bought are for the days they were shown, sold or not.
Do I pay commission on the delivery cost?
No. The Buy now commission is worked out on the item price only.
Can I cancel my plan?
Yes, at any time, with Cancel subscription in My account → My plan. Nothing more is charged and the plan stays active until the end of the period you paid for (1 month, 6 months or 1 year). The time already paid is not refunded.
What if I change my mind straight after paying?
As a consumer you can cancel within 14 days of paying: we refund the price minus the days you already used. A Bump, or an extra listing already used for an ad, is provided at once and cannot be refunded. Details: Refund & Cancellation Policy.
Are promoted ads marked?
Yes. Featured ads always show a “Featured” label, so buyers can tell which ads are promoted.
Do buyers pay any fee?
No. Buyers pay only the price and delivery agreed with the seller. With Buy now, the commission is paid by the seller out of the item price.
Can I sell outside the UK and Europe?
No. nixomarket is for sellers and buyers in the United Kingdom and Europe only, in pounds and euros.
Will prices change without warning?
No. New prices apply only to what you buy after the change. A period you already paid keeps its price, and a subscription you already have keeps renewing at the price it started with.
Who handles a problem with an item I bought?
The seller. With Buy now the seller is the merchant and handles refunds and returns through Stripe; for other payments, contact the seller first. Report a dishonest seller to us with Report this ad.
How do I get an invoice or receipt?
Card and PayPal payments send you a receipt by email. For an invoice with company details, add them in the note when you pay or contact us.
Other terms
- We are not registered for VAT, so no VAT is added to our prices.
- All prices are shown before you pay, and nothing is charged without your confirmation. Plans with automatic renewal are charged again only until you turn renewal off in My account → My plan.
- We announce price changes at least 30 days ahead on the site and by email. New prices apply only to what you buy after the change. A plan you have already paid keeps its price until its period ends, and an automatic renewal you already set up keeps renewing at the price it started with.
- Included upgrades are counted per calendar month (UTC) and start again on the 1st.
